Relias Press Release

Relias Recognized as Leader in Workplace LGBTQ+ Inclusion for Third Consecutive Year

Company earns top score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s assessment of LGBTQ+ workplace equality

Relias, the trusted education and workforce enablement partner to more than 11,000 healthcare and human services organizations and 4.5 million caregivers, is proud to have earned a third consecutive recognition from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation as a leader in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion, with a score of 100 on its 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the educational arm of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people. The CEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. In this year’s CEI, 1,384 companies were examined through detailed criteria falling under four pillars:

  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families
  • Supporting an inclusive culture
  • Corporate social responsibility

“At Relias, fostering a professional environment that welcomes diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences is central to our company’s mission and impact,” said Tina Krebs, Chief People Officer at Relias. “Being honored by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s CEI for the third consecutive year underscores our unwavering dedication and continued efforts to improve our programs both supporting and promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) in the workplace. This commitment is crucial in enhancing our support for our company, partners, and the communities we serve.”

The CEI rates employers providing crucial protections to over 20 million U.S. workers and an additional 18 million outside of the U.S. Companies rated in the CEI include Fortune magazine’s 500 largest publicly traded businesses, American Lawyer magazine’s top 200 revenue-grossing law firms (AmLaw 200), and hundreds of publicly and privately held mid- to large-sized businesses.

“DEIB initiatives are a constant priority at Relias. We pride ourselves in being an organization that fosters an inclusive culture for members of the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, and individuals with disabilities,” said Kelli Slade, DEI Director at Relias. “It’s an honor to receive this recognition, which validates the effectiveness of our efforts centered around acceptance.”

In 2022 Relias’ first LGBTQ+ employee resource group (ERG), BeYou, formed to nurture an inclusive secure environment, fostering acceptance, learning, and understanding within our organization. More than 80 employees take part in BeYou, which serves as a valuable resource for individuals identifying as LGBTQ+ and allies aligned with Relias’ commitment to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive without reservation.
