Relias Launches Podcast To Spark Innovations in Health Care

Healthcare workforce enablement company showcases expertise across U.S. healthcare industry in new podcast

A new healthcare business podcast, Vitals and Vision: Healthcare Leadership Insights With Relias, launched December 5. The podcast explores innovative solutions to persistent challenges in the industry. Relias, the trusted education and workforce enablement partner to more than 11,000 healthcare and human services organizations and 4.5 million caregivers, is launching the podcast with its first season focused on healthcare staff retention.

Vitals+Vision Podcast cover artAmid the evolving healthcare landscape, industry leaders are actively exploring forward-looking solutions to address pressing challenges. These include issues related to staff retention and well-being, compliance, competency management, and cultivating a positive organizational culture. In this podcast, Relias host Leigh Steiner, PhD, chats with experts who are digging in and solving those problems every day across the healthcare continuum.

As Partner in the Relias Solutions Group, Steiner engages in dynamic conversations with guests such as Cara Silletto, President and Chief Retention Officer at Magnet Culture, and Relias’ own Vince Baiera, BSN, Partner, to explore creative ideas and innovations. Together they delve into strategies that can revitalize the industry through impactful leadership initiatives, staff empowerment, and process enhancements.

“Our conversations are laser focused on the industry pain points,” Steiner says. “We look critically at today’s persistent challenges and share practical advice healthcare leaders can act on.”

In the first episode, Cara Silletto points out how much has changed since older leaders entered the workforce. Their assumptions about what younger employees want may not be accurate. “It is absolutely imperative for leaders to get out on the floor, go talk to your people,” she advises, including talking to candidates who choose not to work with you. “Why is that happening? What are they really looking for?”

Through this latest podcast initiative, Relias champions the enduring success of healthcare and human services organizations, their dedicated learning and development teams, visionary leaders, skilled clinicians, and every valuable member of their staff.

For example, Vince Baiera notes in an upcoming episode the importance of making it easy to apply for healthcare jobs. He suggests leveraging AI and other technologies. “Hiring managers have to do more with less these days,” Baiera says. “It’s vital to streamline the application process and make it stress-free. Then you can engage candidates while they’re excited. When they get a quick response, you support their interest in your organization and their desire to come work with you.”

Relias is known for providing expert-driven, evidence-based content. This podcast provides another avenue for busy healthcare professionals to listen and learn about new strategies for industry growth on the go.

As complements to the podcast, Relias works with subject matter experts to offer live events such as webinars, articles and reports that highlight industry trends, and blog posts supporting knowledge building and strategic planning.
