This course describes the initial treatment of a burn patient and how to manage, evaluate, and prepare the patient for transfer to a burn center following an ABCDEF model (airway, breathing, circulation, disability, exposure, examination, and fluid resuscitation). The goal of this course is to educate emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, nurses, and physicians regarding the care of burn patients in prehospital and hospital settings.
This course provides basic information about floods and landslides and the destruction they can cause. It emphasizes the importance of being informed about flood and landslide risks and hazards around you and discusses the various protective actions you could consider taking.
