Relias Named Finalist in 2 NC TECH Award Categories

Healthcare education solutions company selected as finalist for NC TECH Awards

Relias, a software company specializing in education solutions for healthcare providers, has been selected as a finalist for NC TECH Awards in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Tech and Tech for Good categories.

The NC Tech Awards is North Carolina’s only statewide technology awards program recognizing innovation, growth and leadership in the tech sector and is presented by the NC TECH (North Carolina Technology Association).

Relias partners with over 11,000 healthcare client organizations and employs more than 800 people worldwide. The company operates from the heart of the Research Triangle Park in Morrisville, NC.

“For over 20 years, NC TECH has celebrated companies, organizations, and individuals for outstanding achievement at the NC TECH Awards. As a finalist this year, Relias has distinguished itself as one of the state’s innovative and emergent leaders,” said Brooks Raiford, NC TECH’s President and CEO.

Being recognized as a finalist in these award categories represents Relias’ commitment to measurably improving the lives of the most vulnerable members of society and those who care for them, as well as fostering a culture of accountability and concentrating on efforts that are clearly defined and measurable.

“We’re honored to be recognized as a finalist for both the DEI in Tech and Tech for Good categories this year. It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to work for a company whose mission allows you to feel like you’re personally making an impact on society. For this specific reason, I’m immensely grateful to be a part of an organization like Relias,” said Tina Krebs, Relias Chief People Officer. “We’re committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable populations, and recognition for our efforts helps to remind us we’re doing it right.”

Relias focuses on four key diversity areas: intentional recruitment, focused development, meaningful benefits, and an inclusive, supportive culture. The company also educates healthcare professionals on how to provide better care for marginalized populations, including how to better serve LGBTQ+ individuals, addressing social determinants of health such as racism, and improving communication with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

“These kinds of recognitions are always valuable to receive and serve as a provisional measure of our efforts,” said Kelli Slade, Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Relias. “Knowing we’re on the right path is fantastic, and being recognized among so many other great organizations prioritizing their clients and employees is an honor. However, I would like to remind everyone that this isn’t the end. We still have more work to do.”

NC TECH Award winners will be announced at the awards gala on November 29, 2022.
