This program for health care professionals will focus on setting guidelines for determining how to select an enteral formulary, and outline indications that require specialized formulas. A summary of updated evidenced-based guidelines in the area of enteral product selection will be reviewed.

There are many enteral formulas available and it is important to be aware of the cost and clinical implications when determining a nutrition care plan. This seminar will offer strategies to help better illustrate how an enteral formulary should be designed in various health care settings. Updated research will allow clinicians to better manage patients’ nutritional requirements.
