Relias is proud to unveil the upcoming release of the RBT Certification Series 3.0, our most robust and engaging Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training series to date. Launching on October 1, 2025, this new series reflects both regulatory updates from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and our unwavering commitment to quality learning experiences that advance care.

Why it matters

Today, 1 in 36 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). With Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy being one of the most effective interventions, Registered Behavior Technicians play a critical role in delivering services that improve lives. Our new 3.0 series is built to ensure RBTs are not only compliant with upcoming BACB standards but also better prepared, more confident, and more effective from day one.

What’s changing — and why

The BACB recently announced changes to the RBT credentialing process, including:

• RBT content test outline 3rd edition
• Revised content duration requirements

To meet these, and more importantly, exceed expectations, we rebuilt the RBT training series from the ground up. Our goals were clear:

• Boost learner engagement with interactive tools and technologies
• Increase first-time exam pass rates
• Improve job readiness and onboarding efficiency for organizations

Learners move through a clearly sequenced curriculum that builds foundational knowledge progressively and culminates in two full-length mock exams to boost exam confidence.

New simulation

A new simulation module puts learners in the shoes of an RBT — handling real-life ABA therapy challenges in a risk-free environment. Learners receive instant feedback and rationale for decisions made, improving decision-making and confidence.

Guided notes and flash cards

Every course includes downloadable guided notes and digital flash cards that reinforce memory and retention — proven methods for deeper learning.

Video-rich modules and knowledge checks

Modules include short, purposeful video clips and in-course knowledge checks to keep learners engaged and ensure understanding at every stage.

Quick clips and navigation aids

Mini orientation videos that guide learners on how to make the most of the training plan, and custom graphics that help to illustrate key concepts.

A collaborative effort worth celebrating

This release represents contributions from more than 20 team members across product, content, and technology teams, a journey that began in early 2024. It also marks the first project filmed in the new Relias Content Studio, using an experienced RBT, professional actors, and our very own Dr. Rhonda Davin, BCBA-D, to create realistic, impactful learning moments.

Key dates to remember

• October 1, 2025: Series 3.0 goes live. Previous versions will close to new enrollments.
• January 2, 2026: All RBT learners must complete Series 3.0 to be eligible for certification under new BACB requirements.
