Urinary incontinence is a significant health problem that affects a person’s physical and psychological health. Due to the many factors associated with urinary incontinence, its management can be challenging.
Intended for direct care workers such as Certified Nursing Assistants in post-acute care settings, this course covers the assessment and management of urinary incontinence.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Identify two factors included in the assessment of urinary incontinence.
- Describe each of the six types of urinary incontinence.
- Differentiate between the toileting programs used in the management of urinary incontinence.
