Nurse.com and Energage Announce 2026 Top Workplaces for Nursing Award Winners

National program grows nearly eightfold in its second year, recognizing healthcare organizations that are creating supportive, people-first workplaces for nurses

Nurse.com, a community where more than 3 million nurses can connect with peers, apply for jobs, and earn continuing education, and Energage, the HR technology company behind the Top Workplaces employer recognition program, today announced the 54 winners of the 2026 Top Workplaces for Nursing award.

The award honors healthcare employers that are setting a new standard for supportive nursing work environments. This year’s list grew from seven winners in 2025 to 54 in 2026, bringing more visibility to healthcare employers willing to put nurse workplace experience to the test. Of the hundreds of organizations invited to survey their employees, only 54 exceeded Energage’s national benchmarks to earn this recognition.

Awardees were selected based on employee feedback collected through the confidential, research-backed Energage Workplace Survey, which measures factors like pay and benefits, direction, leadership, meaningfulness, appreciation, and other drivers of workplace experience.

“The 2026 winners represent a range of healthcare settings and organization sizes, but they all share a commitment to building a culture where nurses feel empowered,” said Cara Lunsford, RN, Vice President of Healthcare Policy and Clinical Solutions, Relias. “They show what’s possible when healthcare leaders listen to their nurses and act on feedback. Supporting nurses is not only essential to retention and well-being, it also has a direct effect on the quality of patient care.”
