Improving Patient Safety using Relias Assessments as a Quality Improvement Tool

There is a persistent gap in knowledge that exists in evaluating the impact of clinical job knowledge and clinical proficiency on patient safety indicators. Currently, patient safety quality improvement metrics provide a statistical analysis of patient care. However, these analytics do not provide data concerning gaps in clinical practice knowledge that also contribute to patient safety indicators.

This presentation will demonstrate the impact of using Relias Assessments as a clinical proficiency metric to evaluate the effectiveness of continued education programming and quality improvement for patient safety.
