As a mission-driven organization, Relias is deeply committed to giving back to the communities we serve. This year’s Six Weeks of Service, which ran from September 1 through October 15, showcased this commitment through volunteer initiatives and fundraisers, all aligned with our ESG mission: “Access to Healthcare, Access to Society.”
Relias employees are provided two Volunteer Time Off (VTO) days annually to support causes they care about. While these can be used anytime, we encourage leveraging them during Six Weeks of Service to maximize community impact. This year, Relians contributed more than 320 hours of VTO to causes close to their hearts.
American Heart Association’s Heart Walk: walking for health
Relians walked together to support heart health, raising over $2,000 to contribute to heart disease research and education.
“Our team raised over $2,000 this year, which will contribute to heart disease research and education initiatives. This collaboration highlights Relias’ commitment to corporate social responsibility and the well-being of our community.”

Supporting students through Crayons2Calculators
Through Activate Good, employees sorted and packed school supplies for Crayons2Calculators, directly supporting Durham public schools.
Over the Edge for Special Olympics of NC
One of the most exciting events this year was our participation in the Special Olympics of NC’s Over the Edge event. Two of our Relians rappelled down the side of a building to raise funds for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
“Rappelling down a 19-story building was both exhilarating and nerve-wracking, but the energy among the participants was contagious. We were all there for a common purpose, cheering each other on whenever someone started their descent or reached the bottom. Thinking of our amazing 321 Coffee baristas in-office gave me extra motivation as I went over the edge, and I even got to see Emma, who was volunteering at the event!”

Supporting Hurricane Helene Relief Fund with the American Red Cross
Our Red Cross fundraiser raised over $16,000 for victims of Hurricane Helene, with participation from both employees and customers.
Food and fund drive for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle
Relians donated over 1,100 pounds of most-needed items and more than $1,000 to support the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, with some aid going to victims of Hurricane Helene. Our Family Fun Event at Relias HQ marked the culmination of this effort, bringing together employees and their families to celebrate our impact and give one final push to families facing food insecurity.
Additional highlights
We also held a blood drive with The Blood Connection, participated in the TLC Golf Classic, and supported United Way of the Triangle through Band Together. These efforts added to the collective impact of Six Weeks of Service, further demonstrating our employees’ commitment to making a difference.
Reflecting on our commitment to service
“Six Weeks of Service is a powerful reminder of the collective impact we can make when we come together. Our commitment to giving back—whether through time, donations, or simply showing up for our community—speaks to the heart of who we are as a company. I’m incredibly proud of the dedication and generosity shown by our employees this year.”
