Clinica Sierra Vista is one of the largest FQHCs in the nation serving the medical, dental and behavioral health needs of about 200,000 souls in three counties across central California. Their client population includes migrant farm workers, immigrants, the inner city and those living in rural and isolated settings. They are recognized as a social justice organization, advocating tirelessly on behalf of patients in a range of areas, not just healthcare.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Clinica Sierra Vista is required to complete risk management training in high-risk areas, such as obstetrics. With over 4,000 prenatal patients in 2017, providers at Clinica Sierra Vista are busy—and with new sites planned, time spent on training must be meaningful and efficient.
