Video Using Extinction to Decrease Problem Behaviors About This Video This type of extinction has nothing to do with animals species that don’t live anymore! This extinction has everything to do with decreasing problem behaviors that are interfering with quality of life and learning. Extinction is a behavior reduction procedure. It is simply stopping reinforcement from occurring after a behavior that has been reinforced in the past. When a behavior is put on extinction, it will eventually not be used anymore because it’s not effective at getting what they were using the behavior for in the first place. This ABA training video introduces how extinction works in all of our lives. Unfortunately, there are no dinosaurs in this video.
