Prior to her current role, Alisha worked as a Registered Nurse providing care for Orthopedic, Trauma, and general surgery patients. As a clinician, she successfully climbed the clinical ladder and led an Inpatient Rehabilitation Nursing Team as the Nurse Manager. During her role as a Nurse Manager, Alisha sought to improve clinical outcomes through Six Sigma quality improvement projects, increasing nursing education, and empowering nurses as leaders using healthcare technology. After transitioning to a nurse informatics systems specialist role, she led several Epic implementations and focused her efforts in providing quality education and training to Perioperative Nurses and Anesthesia Providers as well as utilizing the electronic health record to identify trends in data and drifts in clinical documentation. Alisha holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Masters of Science in Nursing Administration, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
