This video reviews some helpful tips and strategies to prevent escape behaviors such as running away, crying, whining, and aggression etc. One strategy is called pairing. Pairing is the act of associating the teacher and teaching materials with positive things (aka reinforcing items and activities). Pairing helps the student learn that the teacher and the activities presented by the teacher are enjoyable and beneficial to them.
