Crisis Management Across Health and Human Services
About This Sample Course
This course is designed to provide health and human services staff with the ability to apply critical thinking, knowledge and skills in simulated clinical sessions and to real-world experiences. This course gives learners a model to use to make critical decisions when managing a crisis. The video used represents one of many possible ways that a crisis may be experienced and is not intended as a universal representation.
Using video and interactive exercises, learners will be able to:
- Summarize the common signs associated with the three phases of a crisis
- Describe three primary levels of interventions to assess and manage a crisis
- Explain when it is necessary to call 911 or a supervisor during a crisis
