Moves strengthens leadership team as explosive growth continues
CARY, NC, January 5, 2017 – Relias Learning, the leader in online training solutions for the healthcare market, today announced the addition of Carter Adkinson as Vice President, Sales. In addition, the company also announced the promotions of Margaret Lawless to Vice President, Marketing Operations and Analytics; Dana Thomas to Vice President, Content; and Steve Snook to Vice President, Small & Medium Business Sales.
Carter Adkinson comes to Relias with more than 15 years of experience at IBM, where he most recently led the structured and unstructured data business as Global Vice President of Sales for Big Data, Database, and Cloud Content Services. Prior to that he was Vice President, Worldwide Sales of Enterprise Content Management. Adkinson joined IBM in 1999 and brings to Relias vast experience in analytics and enterprise sales.

Lawless joined Relias in 2013 as Director of Product Management, adding responsibility over User Experience the following year. Thomas has been with Relias since 2009 and has overseen the growth of the Content Development team to over 100 professionals across five departments. Snook joined Relias in 2014 as Director of Account Management and now oversees the company’s 50-person Inside Sales team.
The moves come on the heels of Relias Learning’s recent acquisitions of Swank HealthCare and AHC media. The acquisitions reinforce the company’s strategic initiatives to expand their suite of services to the Acute Care market and offer a new analytics services respectively; both of which support the Relias goal of serving the healthcare industry across the continuum of care.
