AHA Courses & RQI 2020 Via the Relias LMS

Each year, there are more than 200,000 in-hospital cardiac arrests and more than 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests, including public settings, homes, and nursing homes.

Deliver, track, and report on American Heart Association (AHA) training, as well as the new RQI 2020 program, through the Relias learning management system (LMS).

AHA Blended Learning and eLearning Training

HeartCode® Courses

Intended for healthcare professionals, including Basic or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (BLS, ACLS, PALS).

Heartsaver® Courses

Intended for anyone with little or no medical training who requires a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements.

Instructor Essentials Courses

Intended for those accepted by a local AHA Training Center and has a completed Instructor Candidate Application on file with that Training Center.

Blended Learning

Learn cognitive skills through eLearning courses and then practice and test the skills in person with an AHA Instructor or a voice advisory manikin (VAM).

RQI 2020 CPR Training

The RQI 2020 program is changing the standard of resuscitation care through simulation-based learning combined with quarterly competency verification sessions. Access the suite of CPR eLearning programs developed by AHA and Laerdal via the Relias LMS.

CPR & First Aid Curricula

Each curriculum contains a quarterly Core Skills assignment along with 1–2 eSimulation courses, depending on the curriculum(s) enrolled.

Resuscitation Core Skills

Core Skills include adult and child ventilations and compressions, as well as infant ventilations and compressions conducted through adult/infant VAMs.

Simulation Station

A mobile cart including VAMs, a bag mask device, and a computer, which archives data in the Relias LMS for tracking and reporting purposes.

eSimulation Courses

AHA HeartCode® cognitive courses use eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings, via the Relias LMS.
