Striving for Perfection in Suicide Care

The Zero Suicide Framework

The Zero Suicide approach aspires for zero defects in the delivery of suicide care for individuals at risk of suicide in health care systems. An effective, comprehensive approach to suicide care transforms care through leadership, policies, practices, and measurement, and entails a commitment to seven dimensions:

  1. Leadership
  2. Screening and assessment
  3. Suicide care management
  4. Workforce development
  5. Effective care
  6. Care transitions
  7. Ongoing quality improvement

This webinar provides an overview of the Zero Suicide framework, highlighting an agency who reduced suicides for those in their care by about 65% in two years. Resources for launching and implementing this framework will be shared.
