Writing behavior and academic goals can prove challenging for many. Clearly defined objectives need to be specific, but how specific should we be? Effective objectives are also measurable. Measurable goals allow parents and teachers to know how much progress the learner has made since the performance was last measured. With goals that are observable and measurable, we will know when the learner reaches their goal. Clear objectives will also include action words, which specify the behavior to be performed. For goals and objectives to be attainable, they must be realistic, relevant, and time-limited.
During this webinar we:
- Review key components of writing behavior and academic goals
- Provide an opportunity to review and refine sample objectives
- Review some “Do’s and Don’ts” of writing objectives
