ABA and the Environment Within: Scientific Solutions for Internal Struggles
About This Webinar
The science of behavior analysis is concerned with observable and measurable behavior change. Once a behavior of concern has been identified, behavior analysts look to the environment (what comes before and after the behavior) for clues as to what is maintaining the behavior.
But what about the environment within? The interactions that occur beneath our skin? Can behavior analysis aid in the treatment of low self-esteem, anxiety, or depression? Can the science of behavior analysis bring a useful lens to the investigation of internal events? We think so!
Watch this webinar as we:
- Review relevant research
- Discuss differences between overt (external) and covert (internal) behavior
- Provide examples of ABA applications for internal (covert) behaviors
- Provide opportunity for audience members to ask questions
