Protecting Patient Privacy While Working in Integrated Care Settings

    Tuesday, Oct 2

    4:10pm - 5:00pm
42 CRF Part 2  was enacted in 1972 by the Drug Abuse Office and Information Act to encourage persons to seek care for drug and addictions treatment with privacy protections. The rule was updated in 2017.  These changes have implications for staff training regarding new process and procedures.  This session will provide the history, context, afford abilities and limitations of the rule and what the recent changes mean for behavioral health substance use and integrated care settings, including tips for maximizing care opportunities for consumers while minimizing the risk of rule violations.
