Session Description:
In the academic and professional realm of nursing, the adoption of emerging technology to improve patient outcomes is often viewed as a daunting or overwhelming task for nurse leaders. The current nursing environment recognizes the requirements for federally regulated resources concerning electronic documentation and the use of a standardized nursing language. However, the benefits of adopting additional emerging technology resources may be overlooked due to fiscal constraints, lack of knowledge concerning the advantages of using a technology resource to improve nursing and patient outcomes, and change management barriers including the organization’s current work culture.

Analyze the need to implement healthcare technology education resources to improve nursing quality indicatorsAnalyze t he role of the infomatics nurse in identifying emerging technology resourcesEvaluate the advantages of using emerging technology to improve nurse-driven evidence based research and practice

Completion Requirements

Be present for the session in its entirety
Complete the session evaluation that will be emailed to participant within one week of conference
Certificates will be emailed to attendee within 30 days post-conference
