All organizations compete for the same things, market share, customer satisfaction, loyalty and employees. Finding and hiring a workforce is a challenge, but finding and hiring the most qualified workforce is even more challenging. Learn from a real scenario how a community health care organization, with a new HR function, recognized a real business problem. Despite skepticism and adversity, this HR leader/business partner developed a pragmatic solution to what seemed to be an accepted business challenge, turnover. After the first year of implementing the plan of action, HR was able to show that turnover decreased by 50%. Though constant change has occurred, this organization continues to maintain turnover below industry standards.

Continuing Education Hours:




HRCI, SHRM 1 hour of credit

Attendees will get a certificate of completion valid towards:

  • 1 (HR (General)) recertification credit hours toward California, GPHR, PHRi, SPHRi, PHR and SPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRMSCP professional development credits (PDCs): This program is valid for 1.0 PDCs

Rosalie Webster SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Rosalie Webster, is the Vice President of Human Resources & Professional Development, at the Visiting Nurse Association of the Treasure Coast, a not-for-profit, community health care agency. Prior to this, she worked for several large, well known companies, such as Reader’s Digest, PSE&G, and Hoffman La Roche, where she specialized in Organization Development, Management Development, Succession Planning, Strategic Planning and Process Improvement before moving into Human Resources at Honeywell Space and Defense Systems. She contributes her career success to her ability to identify business issues and develop practical solutions in order to achieve business objectives. She has started up HR Departments and has re-established several HR Departments, improving products and services, as well as, credibility and reputation. As an internal HR business partner, she interacts with all levels of the organization, including the Board of Directors, at her current employer. Rosalie is the Program Chair for her local SHRM Chapter, she holds her Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP), and earned her Masters degree in HR Administration and Organization Development from Montclair State University.
