ABOUT THIS COURSE:
This is the first presentation in a six part series titled Effective Exercise in Cardiac Rehab. This six part series is designed to assist Cardiac rehab Professionals develop and modify an EFFECTIVE exercise prescription for their patients. We will begin with a review of stress test protocols, interpretation and basic principles of exercise prescription for populations with or without GXT results. Developing exercise prescription utilizing risk stratification guidelines, resistance training protocols, and guidelines regarding adjusting exercise prescriptions will also be included. New approaches for weight loss specific to the Cardiac Rehab population will follow. In response to frequent requests from our participants we will close this webinar series with a presentation on Cardiac Medications. It will include medications commonly seen in Cardiac Rehab programs which may impact performance, as well as newly approved medications which clinicians may not be familiar with.
